Real relationships require two people.

If he or she is not that into you, don’t waste your time.

Everyone has had a crush on someone who didn’t seem to know they existed – but in a real relationship the other person wants to know you, not just know you by reading and commenting on your status updates on Facebook – but they want to know the real you – and they want you to know them too.

Get to know someone by spending time together and learning about their personality, interests, beliefs and values. Real relationships don’t form quickly. It takes time to really get to know each other.  If they aren't interested in telling you who they are (or getting to know the real you) - don't waste your time.

Here are some ways you can get to know someone:

  • Spend real (not just digital) time together.
  • Find out their likes and dislikes.
  • Ask them about their hobbies and what they like about it.
  • Choose a current topic in the media and ask them their opinion.
  • Share what is important to you and ask them to share.
  • Really listen to what they say.
  • Their actions are clues to who they really are.
